Always remember the poppies that blow,
Between the crosses row on row.

Always remember the crosses that stand,
Proud and tall throughout the land.

Always remember that freedom comes at a price,
The price was paid, The cost was life.

Always remember those who dies for the cause,
Those who gave their lives during the wars.

Always remember the lesson they taught,
Why they died, Why they fought.

So future genereations could live without fear,
And just remember, They're always near.

I thought of this this morning while watching the Queen lay her poppy wreath at the Cenotaph.

That's the best of your poems that I've read so far. It's really sad :'(

I believe in Jesus Christ my Saviour. If you do too, copy and paste this into your signature.
Thankyou, its about a sad topic

Have you ever read Wilfred Owen's war poetry? Or Sigfred Sasson? I studied A level war lit, and I was wondering if you took influence from that, because it seems so charged with emotion.

I have read a little of each.

Thanks
